BOOKINGS

Yes subject to agreement after viewing for a limited period only.

A non-refundable deposit of a minimum of £1200 or 25% of your booking value is required.  This can be split over a few months when you book if required.

BOOKING AGREEMENT

For events where we provide catering minimum numbers will be agreed at the time of the booking and these will form the basis of your booking contract. These can be increased to the maximum capacity of the room hired but not reduced below the minimum contracted agreement, therefore we ask you to book your numbers based on your minimum numbers expected.

Any required changes with your booking must be made in writing or email to us.

EVENT PLANNING

Menu options and final numbers are required ideally a minimum of four weeks prior to your event date.

Your sales-person will remain your point of contact until the appropriate handover to your event coordinator.

You will be offered a final date to meet with your coordinator well in advance of your booking, in order discuss the details of your event and finalise plans.  Meetings will have to be during office hours. Tuesday- Friday 9am-5:30pm

Your Duty Manager will be your point of contact and help assist you with the event. They will be fully briefed previously by either your sales representative or coordinator prior to your booking.

One starter course/one main course (plus vegetarian) and one dessert course for all guests unless supplements paid for additional guests. 

Specific dietary requirements will be accommodated. You will be sent a food ordering form to complete prior to your event.

Unless specified by your booking terms, the closing times are:

Monday – Sunday

Yes, we do allow candles, but these must be in a safety holder for health & safety implications. All candles must be on tables and are not permitted on the floor.

Yes, You will need to provide a USB or a connectable device please liaise with your coordinator.

Subject to your layout agreed with the Coordinator.

  • 5ft tables seat up to 10 guests maximum
  • 6ft tables seat up to 12 guests maximum

Yes, please let us know in advance how many maybe required.

It is the supplier or client’s responsibility to move all items between rooms in use, such as décor, chairs, chivari chairs and any other items.  If Goosedale assistance is required, this must be agreed in advance.

Goosedale reserves the right to have the marquee set up within the courtyard area adjacent to the Ivory Suite.  If the marquee is in place during your event when not pre-booked for your use, we will ensure that the sides will be fully open with garden furniture for a covered outdoor area.

Use of the Pagoda is permitted, your duty manager will liaise with you on the day of your booking for a suitable time for any photographs so that there is no clash with other clients.

ACCESS

9am or 4 hours prior to the arrival time of your guests after 1pm.  Please also refer to your booking contract as this may state specific access time.

All ground floor and fully DDI compliant, for any assistance please contact a member of staff on the day of the event.

Ample-free parking and subject to notification cars maybe left overnight

Yes, they will be advised where to park as part of your event planning arrangements

Unless otherwise agreed all guests/suppliers must access directly through the Garden Room entrances. Access will not be available via the main reception. We remind all clients to inform their guests so that there is no confusion when they arrive at the venue.

SUPPLIERS

External DJs are allowed and are required to have public liability insurance, all equipment must be PAT certified. Copies will be required prior to the event. We do monitor sounds levels and the sound will have to be limited if it exceeds our accepted levels.

Yes. Providing your chosen suppliers have the relevant Public Liability of £5m and PAT test certificates for all their equipment.  We advise you confirm this before hiring any services.

Drones can be used providing the pilot has the relevant Public Liability of £5m and pilot licence.

Due to events taking place the next day, plus in the interest of security, unless agreed prior with Goosedale, all valuables, cake so on and supplier equipment must be removed at the end of the function.

Yes. However, time and delivery date must be confirmed prior to your event date and normally up to 2 days before your event. We kindly remind guests that storage is limited at any time.

The wedding cake can be set up by the cake supplier on the day of the wedding. It is not advisable for the cake to be delivered before wedding day A cake knife can be provided if required. We do not provide cake stands.

Due to health, safety, insurance and council requirements any fireworks will need to be booked through www.galaxy-fireworks.co.uk  Note no other fireworks supplier will be permitted, without Goosedale prior permission.

GENERAL

We will require a payment of a £750 security bond four weeks prior to the event days.  In accordance with our booking terms and conditions this will be refunded with 28 days after your event.

ADDITIONAL WEDDING FAQs

Confetti use is strictly forbidden due to the excessive mess.  Rose petals are permitted in the gardens.

You can have up to a maximum of 120 chairs laid out in rows with an aisle, subject to the lay-out.

There is a separate fee for the registrar, which is paid direct to the Registrar.

Subject to your agreement with Goosedale at the time of booking. If not included these are an additional cost.

No. You will need to provide us with a USB or connectable smart device of the songs, in the order you would like them to be played during the ceremony. This will be required prior to your wedding so that it may be tested.This will need to include 4 songs – 1 song whilst guests are being seated, 1 song for the brides’ entrance, 1 song for the signing of the register and 1 final song for the bride and groom to walk back down the aisle at the end.

For Garden Room bookings, all guests will need to park in the Garden Room Car Park and enter the building via the Garden Room entrance, before making their way into the Crystal Hall. Separate arrangements will be made for the bridal access.If you have booked the Ivory Suite for your Wedding, guests will use the Main Car Park and enter the building via the Lotus Lounge entrance, before entering the Crystal Hall.  Separate arrangements will be made for bridal access.Please advise guests to always following the relevant car parking signs upon arrival

Goosedale does not provide a toastmaster. If one is not booked we would suggest nominating a responsible person e.g. the best man to make announcements and coordinate with the duty manager on the wedding day.

Our waiting staff can assist in placing items such as favors, etc. if advised in advance. Goosedale is not responsible for general décor lay out, center-pieces etc.

ADDITIONAL DRY HIRE FAQs

This is the hire of the suite or other rooms, with tables & chairs only.  No crockery/cutlery/glassware, table linen, napkins, waiting staff and any other items are not included unless specifically included within your booking form & contract.

Given the nature of dry hire meetings on site are not normally required.  We will further to discussion provide you with a seating plan and general timings.  If there is a need for meeting then our Duty Manager can be available to meet on one occasion prior to your booking and help with any other information you may require. Your are welcome to contact us if you require access to meet with your suppliers.

Your Duty Manager will be your point of contact on the day of your event. The Duty Manager’s role will be to ensure we fulfill all agreed requirement’s, health and safety practices and is on hand to deal with any queries on the day, on behalf of Goosedale.  We would encourage that you nominate a person or hire an event planner to coordinate with suppliers on the day of the event if required.

Any mobile or disposable celebratory items such as party poppers, loose confetti/bombs, indoor fireworks are strictly prohibited from use on the venue. 

We provide two storage rooms for the client which can be used as changing area if required.

Goosedale does not seek to profit by only allowing recommended caterers.  You are free to engage your own caterer, who must comply with the caterer pack and terms & conditions supplied with your booking.  It is your responsibility to provide a copy of caterer terms and conditions to the chosen caterer prior to booking them. If the caterer does not agree to the terms and conditions then they may be denied access to the venue and you will be liable for any charges levied by your caterer arising from their non-compliance with the terms and conditions.

A damages and security kitchen bond of £500 is taken on the day of the booking from the caterer.  At the end of the function this is refunded in accordance with the kitchen terms and conditions.   

If hire is included within your booking of our Crockery/Cutlery/Glassware it will include all knives, forks, spoons, plates, desert bowls and glasses for one service of starters/mains and deserts.  If you are having more than one service additional items will be required. Please note if the Karahi Stands have not been hired, it is your caterer’s responsibility to provide the platters / dishes to serve the food to the tables

Goosedale has a zero tolerance for any hooting horn by drivers, engine revving, excessive speeds and driving on site for other than exit.  If anyone is found contravening this order then they will immediately be asked to leave the estate so please ensure that your guests are aware of this condition.   If the condition continues to be breached by any guest at your event, the client whom is responsible for the booking of the event will be liable for damages
